_bangkok_backpacking_trip_
hehe.. just returned from Bangkok.. its a backpacking trip.. real backpack and tight budget.. participants, there are 6 of us; 1 halfway only (read: give-up)... sharax-norli-nanie-jue-broaris-mahdi...
its a 5 days 5 nights trip, and we really had a verygood time off-work and normal life... had to go through all the hurdles to catch buses, taking 3rd class train to save costs, cycling around an ancient city, ikat-perut coz Halal food was very hard to find, difficulties to find 'educated-looking' people to ask for directions, etc.. etc...
and, apart from all the *issues*, we managed to save 3GB of pictures... hahahah.... so, here's the itinerary...
friday - 16may08 - rushing from office to home, 7.30pm meet at Kl sentral, catch skybus to lcct, 9.10pm arrived lcct, checked-in, 11.10pm flight depart from KL, 12.00am BKK time landed in Bangkok, we arrived Regent Ramkhamhaeng hotel at around 1.30am, Mahdi and bro went out to find food to feed our empty stomach coz everyone is hoping to get nasi lemak on board, tapi end up; we board on Thai AirAsia, so, no Halal food.. uhuks..
saturday - 17may08 - hotel breakfast at 9.00am, walk to Soi 29 (our hotel is in Soi 22) to find the water-taxi, we have to let go 4-5 water taxi coz its so full... boat ride through the canal for Asok.. Asok is a place to find the MRT to go to Chatuchak Weekend Market.. 12.30pm arrived Chatuchak, 3.30pm lunch at Tower Clock (there's halal stall there - found it after asking a Malaysian-looking guy), 7.30pm off to Sukhumvit to find hotel for tomorrow night, walking and walking until all of us decided to just stay at Regent hotel because we can't find any hotel that is within our budget and with Halal breakfast.. Then, off to Nana Streets... Walking and walking, back and forth coz Mahdi forgot which soi (lorong) is the Nana Streets... Hahahaha!!!!! Until its raining, and we have to 'berteduh' in a petrol pump.. Saw real-life of Bangkok people here, there's childrens who sell junk food, smoking and passing cigarettes, a girl with mat-saleh boyfriend, a tuk-tuk guy, a man who sell fruits on his bike.. at around 11.30pm, we managed to get to the Nana Streets, nothing much here; got Arab restaurants that also sell liquor inside... So, we finally went to a Kebab stall and have Chicken Kebab for dinner for 50B.. After *dinner*, we get in a massage centre (after menawar harga) for foot massage.. geli-giler okay!! finish massage session for 6 of us at around 1.30am... by that time, Arab streets was full with Niggah.. I was so *cuaks*.. We get in a taxi, 6 of us tucked-in one taxi, with me and Jue at the front seat.. hahaha.. mmg giler!! at Bangkok, it's legal to do that... hahaha... the police actually stopped us because the taxi driver illegally langgar lampu merah... we had our sleep at 4am that night~~
